It’s been a busy week here in Nerd World, and I’ve got some great news to share… once I get the time to sit down and type it out. But in the meantime, I’d like to share something I’m starting with my team!
I need to do more off-skates conditioning to work on my strength and cardio. It’s really easy to let it slip when you’re the only one doing, so I’ve enlisted the help of my teammates to keep me accountable. We’re all setting goals to do two or three nights of cross-training on non-skating nights, and I made up this nifty spreadsheet to keep track of everything.
To use this for your league:
- Open this file in Google Sheets, click on “file” and then “make a copy.”
- In the “summary” sheet, add the names of everyone who will be participating in column A.
- Each week, add a row with your name on it on the “log” sheet. Add the week number, and list what type of workout you did in one of the three tracking columns.
- Click on the “share” button in the top right, then click the drop-down and select “anyone with the link can edit. Copy the URL and share with whoever is going to participate– I posted it in our team FB group. You may want to link it each week as a reminder to update the tracker.
That’s all there is to it! The summary will automatically count up how many workouts each skater has done, and how many weeks they’ve participated in.
